Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado didn’t mince words when talking about the Democratic Rep.
On Friday’s “Real Time with Bill Maher”, Boebert joked about supporting Crockett while sitting next to the Texas congresswoman’s rival for the US Senate.
“Maybe I should endorse Jasmine Crockett, so she can do better,” he told the Democratic Texas Rep. James Talarico.
Among Texas voters, Crockett is currently running ahead of Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton, according to the latest statewide poll from Hart Research.

However, Talarico’s campaign has grown significantly in fundraising and media attention. He raised $2.5 million after CBS canceled his interview with late-night host Stephen Colbert about “equal time” rules for political candidates.
Instead, the interview was uploaded to YouTube on Tuesday and has received more than 8.4 million views.

On Wednesday, Crockett called the move to post Talarico’s interview online “a great strategy” and something that may have given him “momentum.”
While Boebert began by congratulating Talarico on his success in the Democratic primary, he offered a specific explanation.

“I think that’s why he and the Democrat part of this school are doing so well,” Boebert said. “Because his rivals are very strong, very extreme. It’s just a false identity. He comes from one place, pretends to be another.”

After the congressman thanked Talarico for doing everything he could to defeat Crockett in the race, the Democrat voted for his union.
“[Crockett] and I are friends, we work together,” he replied. “We have different ways of campaigning and politics, but we are both trying to fight 30 years of one-party rule in our state, which has led to the extremism and corruption I was talking about.”

In both of his nightly appearances, Talarico spoke out against “Christian nationalism” and advocated removing the 10 Commandments from public schools in the name of separation of church and state.

Crockett has been criticized for his anti-Republican rhetoric, including referring to their support for President Donald Trump as “loyalty to this…wannabe Hitler” in 2025.
Fox News Digital reached out to Crockett’s team, but did not immediately respond.
