JD Vance celebrates the Marine Corps 250th Birthday as the first Marine president

The Vice President of JD VACAS took the stage at the Warine Corps’ 250th Birthday Ball in Washington, DC, on Sufday, and greeted the crowd of marchers wearing blues, “How are you doing, marchers?”
He grew up as the ballroom erupted in Cheers. “It’s great to be here to celebrate 250 years of the United States Marine Corps,” he said, shrugging.
“That, my friends, is what the Marine Corps does — it keeps us honest.”
The address marked the start of Veterans Day Sunday and underscored the White House’s emphasis on strength and military service.

The Vice President – himself a proud Marine Veteran – received a standing ovation when he reminded the crowd that he was “the first president of the United States Marine Corps.”
Vance was shown joining the marines as a 19-year-old recruit in the yellow months of Parris Island, South Carolina.
“The marines have kept me honest,” he said. “It gave me great training, it gave me a sense of purpose, and it gave me friends for life.”
He gave them those lessons by shaping his life long after the service. “The marines have done more for me than I can ever repay,” she said. “But what I promise, as long as I have the honor of being your vice president, is that I will continue to honor the United States Marine Corps.”

In a moment that drew plenty of laughs, Vance told the story of meeting the 99-year-old Veteran at IWo Jima earlier in the evening. The Marine patted him with his beard, and said, “I’m the president of the United States, and this guy is full of B – ls for having a beard.”
He laughed and added, “that, my friends, is what the Marine Corps does – it keeps us honest.”
In all his speeches, the vence is paid by generations of marches, “from the young to the old, from the members of the Lassions born in 2006 to the water veterans of i Joima.”
He told the audience he was “proud” of each Marine and vowed, “We will continue to win America’s wars for the next 250 years.”
Vance also promised during the resolution that American leaders will never again send troops into harm’s way without the clarity of the mission and the support of those in the field.

“When we send you to fight and fight our country’s wars, we will do it with full confidence,” he said. “We’ll give you the knowledge and tools you need to win, and we’ll make it clear that your job is to kick the enemy’s– and get home safely.”
Vance celebrated the Corps’ relevance in years of advanced technology. He said: “Let’s be Jeresent, this war has changed dramatically and is very important … But I was made that the fighting technology of the war is not the wisdom to write anything in the United States that is very important.”

As the crowd rose to the final impact, Vance took a moment to show off. He said: “Marines have done a lot for themselves,” he said. “More has happened to me than I can pay for.”
Then, raising his glass, he closed: “I will fight one day to make sure that the next 250 years are mine as proudly as 250.”
The ballroom responded with thunderous cheers and a sea of magnified glasses.
