One of the biggest shocks in season two of Wednesday it was supposed to be an episode of the year of the year.
After Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) meets and finds her power in the grave of Rosaline Rotwood (Lady Gaga), a powerful observer deceives her. Enid (Emma Myers) ends up waking up in Wednesday’s body and vice versa Freaky Friday Throwback Episode that took the viewers on a crazy side hijinks quest. Shunap Shenanigans with nevermore was a huge gamble, it made for a fun chapter that really digs into why Enid’s friendship with Wednesday’s is the opposite of the government.
During the award’s live Q&A (shared with Rama’s screen), Ortega talked about the concerns he had with the difficult episode, which was added late Wednesday season two.
“That text came a few weeks before we shot. I remember [the showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar] they were writing as we went, and it wasn’t something we talked about in the rehearsal meeting. So it was a whole new story. I think you’re just out of left field. Being kind of knocked off your feet like that was exciting. “
He was happy to have a strong star to play with. “If I had to do that with anyone, I’d be very grateful that it was Emma Myers, who plays the puzzle.”
The hard time was a concern, though. “Being a producer, there are a lot of meetings and things like that you have to go to. So my schedule didn’t have a lot of time to practice.”
The biggest challenge, Ortega remembered, ‘he wanted to do justice to [Enid] and make sure Emma was happy with everything. “
He continued to give her flowers in cooperation to be Wednesday. “He was very physical, and it takes a lot of focus to be that. So I felt very proud when I saw him take something very important.”
Ortega agreed to take on the role of producer for two seasons Wednesday He brought a deep sense of commitment to the Addams plot. “It’s a big character and a big show and definitely, time-consuming, time-consuming, just kind of a big character and it shows that I’m out there doing it every day before everybody else and I’m still working from home.”

Fortunately, it all paid off and ended up being a hit, much to the relief of the star. “So far on the road and things like that, it seems like that’s what people have been most taken with,” he said, giving Myers his pick again. “Also, most of it was on Emma, but it’s been a long time since I’ve had any superpowers, let alone in that camp.”
