Keith Urban has an awkward moment when a fan says his name is Nicole at a concert

Keith Urban avoided an awkward situation during an interaction with a fan at his recent concert.

In a video recorded by a fan shared on Tiktok, the 57-year-old country star can be heard having a conversation with your fan at a concert at Briddowne Arena in Nashville, Oct.17, as part of his “high and lively” tour.

“I won’t like your name?” Cities are heard asking the fan. Then he replied, “It’s Nicole.”

After hearing his name, the crowd laughed, as the townspeople fell back and lay on the stage for a few seconds. He then stood up and confused the reference to Nicole Kidman by asking Jehovah, “You mean Nicole Richie?”

Urban then went ahead and jumped into the crowd to help fans announce that he and his sister were leaving Greenville, South Carolina, where they had canceled his last show, for his Nashville concert.

The video then cuts to the Jumbotron, showing fans standing around a gray city reading, “the smallest urban fan” in the foreground.

The funniest moment came one day after Urban canceled the Oct. 16 His show in South Carolina due to some illness.

“Keith Urban has been advised by his laryngologist Dr. Garett, from the Vanderbilt Voice Center, to cancel his performance in Greenville, SC Encouns Wellness Arena for the week,” said a statement on the local website. “He has been placed on full verbal rest and Dr. Garrett is hopeful that he will be able to return for his Nashville show.”

The potentially awkward reunion comes weeks after Kidman filed for divorce from Urban on Sept. 30.

In the fires of divorce, Kidman pointed to “persistent differences” and “persistent marital difficulties” as the reason for their split.

Kidman and Urban first met in 2005 at an event in Australia and married a year later in June 2006. During their marriage, they welcomed two daughters: On Sunday he got up17, and Faith Margaret, 14. They were last seen together in public at the FIFA Club World Cup in Nashville in June 2025.

Prior to her divorce filing, Kidman appeared to be covered in a split between her and a band during an interview with Logue, published on Oct. 8.

“How many times do you have to be taught that you think you know where your life is going and it’s not going in that direction?” He said when asked about living in his 50s.
