Lamine Yamal in the upper trajectory

Barcelona progressed to the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey on Tuesday night after beating Albacete 2-1 in the final.

Joan Garcia – 6.5

Little to report from Joan Garcia, who didn’t really have anything to do all night. He looked for a few crosses, but Javi Moreno’s header was on target.

Joao Cancelo – 5

Another rocky game from Cancelo, attacking in an indirect manner, and sloppy in defence. Early booking, it would have been difficult if Albacete had been taken out by mistake, but it means a lot that Hansi Flick took him out.

Ronald Araujo – 7.5

A generally good display from Araujo defensively, he made a couple of mistakes just before he was sent off as he started to tire. His goal proved to be the winner, and this was a step towards his best form.

Eric Garcia – 7

Mostly neat and tidy, this assured performance from Garcia has become a regular feature this season, without needing to stand out. Moved to right back and back to center back in the second half.

Gerard Martin – 8

Mostly under the radar operation until it’s time to stop. However, if Ferran Torres had kept himself close, his cross would have been a great assist. As any goal raises the bar, Martin’s goal-line clearance was a crucial decision for Barcelona in the near future.

Frenkie de Jong – 7.5

It could have been better with the ball at times, and it was difficult to set the tone, but there were a few key plays. His save prevented Albacete from going back to 1-0, and his goal was assisted by none other than the Dutch player.

Marc Bernal – 6

It was late in the press a few times that allowed Albacete to come out of their shell.

Lamine Yamal – 8

He continues to create countless chances for his teammates to waste. Once he finds them, he finishes them at that moment, scoring his fourth goal in a row. Much to the delight of Hansi Flick, the 18-year-old raced to win loose balls in stoppage time as Barcelona suffered their first defeat of the game.

Dani Olmo – 6.5

His puzzling activities continue. Olmo plays passes and creates chances, and didn’t get help from Marcus Rashford early on. In the same way, he was wasted in the box a few times too.

Marcus Rashford – 6.5

A poor performance from Rashford, who missed a good chance early on to put Barcelona ahead. Rashford also failed to make good use of the ball many times, but he returned the ball for Barcelona’s first, and assisted the second from a set-piece.

Robert Lewandowski – 4.5

The veteran forward is not providing goals or a link-up game yet. After an uncharacteristic first half, Lewandowski subsequently missed a player early in the second, and was soon replaced.

What you are holding

Pau Cubarsi – 6.5

He came on at half-time for Joao Cancelo, and was untroubled for most of the game, but like many of his team-mates, looked nervous of late.

Marc Casado – 6.5

He moved the ball well at times, and got in front of Albacete’s midfielders to put Barcelona up a couple of points. Couldn’t stop Albacete’s moves before the final third.

Ferran Torres – 5.5

He strayed offside at the back post for what should have been a goal, and was selfish at times. It hasn’t looked sharp since the start of the year.

Fermin Lopez – 7

I could have finished better at times, but Lopez gave the chance to go out at half-time, with teammate Lamine Yamal to join him in the last half hour.

Jules Kounde – 6.5

Did nothing wrong in the last 12 minutes of the game at right back.
