Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 Search to resume in the Southern Indian Ocean

The search for Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 will resume on December 30, the country’s transport ministry announced on Wednesday, more than ten days after the plane disappeared over the Indian Ocean.

On March 8, 2014, a Boeing 777 took off from Kuala Lumpur for Beijing, where it disappeared about 90 seconds after leaving all 239 passengers in what has become one of the most unsolved aviation mysteries.
Satellite data revealed the plane had drifted from its flight path to the south over the Indian Ocean, where it is believed to have crashed.

According to a statement from the Department of Transport Malaysia, as reported by AP, Ocean Infinity will hunt in the target areas that are believed to have the highest chance of finding the missing planes.
“The latest development underscores the Government of Malaysia’s commitment to providing for the families affected by this disaster,” the transport ministry said.
This announcement comes after the Malaysian government gave the final approval in March for Ocean Offinity to start the contract, after agreeing to the area of ”70 million only if the wreck is a mile.

Previously, debris was found washed ashore on the coast of East Africag Coast and Indian Ocean Islands, but various searches failed to find clues in the area of MH370.
Ocean Infinity also conducted a private search in 2018 that failed to find anything, but Oliver Plunkett reported that earlier this year his company has improved its technology.
