5 Best Friday Beauty Deals, found by a tech reviewer

One of the biggest benefits of being a Heaty Tech product tester is that I get to see for myself if a sty-sty-styler, or microcurrent device lives up to the hype.

Combined with experience covering Black Friday deals for the past four years, I feel well-prepared to find out what beauty savings are actually worth getting during the holiday shopping season. Spoiler alert: not everything with a logo is a unique deal. Also, as someone with a lot of experience testing high end products (AKA basically Dyson’s Line) against many dupes who encourage and advise adding something to your cart just because it has a higher price tag or a higher brand name.

With that in mind, I’ve rounded up the top five beauty deals from Black Friday that I’ve seen so far. Find my recs (and some shopping advice) below:

Dyson supersonic namaral

I’ll be the first to say that while the supersonic is my favorite hair tool from Dyson, it’s probably also crowded out, especially with all the goodies out there (more on that below). That said, it’s a nice luxury upgrade. If you’re willing to pick one up this Black Friday, skip the regular $379 SuperSpeal and spend another $20 on the super sale SuperSsonic for $379. It has better attachment contrast, automatic heat adjustment for certain attachments, and a better (and unique) diffuser. If you are interested in nturals but it sounds too expensive, you can grab a renewable one at Walmart for $209.

Dyson Airwrap ID

To be honest, I was a little underwhelmed by the airwrap when I first tried it out – the tech was cool, but not as easy to use as social media would have you believe. Also, the barrel curls gave my hair more frizz than a true curled look, and it fell out by the end of the day. With the Dyson Airwrap ID, the product addresses these issues. Some of the curling barrels have a tapered design, which has helped me achieve soft, beautiful, and long-lasting curls. Another piece of the puzzle was the automatic heat that changes you can work directly with the tool or the Dyson app, which changes the heat as the pores of the hair, and are hit with cool shots for a set amount of time. Although I expected it to feel a bit gimmicky, it made the style feel a little off.

The used og airwrap goes for $599 at full price, and the ID Airwrap is $649. However, this deal brings it down to $499.99, the same retail price found on the original airwrap at the time of purchase (including during this time around). This is still a high price, so if reducing your hair is still a priority, I recommend looking at the T3 Aire 360 ​​- Ceramic barrels help to create and lock in curls.

The performance is similar enough to the Airwrap that it is what I tell my friends and family to buy when they ask if they should buy a dyson airwrap. It’s lightweight, powerful, completely silent (as far as hair dryers go), and it hasn’t come out on me after years of use. And with a retail price of $97.99, it’s a fraction of the cost of a supersonic. It comes with basic stickers that do the job well. You can also pick up a cheaper dryer model, the Swift SE Lite, for $59.99. It is a little stronger, with a glossy plastic coating (compared to the matte one that is available faster, but if you blow your hair to dry your option a little or you simply want a more bargain option, it is also a good option.
