National Guard shot in DC ‘hanging’ as family calls for prayer: Advocate

The West Virginia National Guardsman who is in critical condition after being shot this week in Washington, DC, hanged, “the Congressman told” fox over the weekend, “adding that his family is asking for prayers.

Rep. Riley Moore, khww.va., said Saturday that the family of Andrew Wolfe, Andrew, donated. ”

“His father is a Deputy Sheriff in the County near me and Andy wanted to follow in those footsteps and serve his nation as a national guard,” said Moore of guards and friends. ”

“Andy hangs. And he’s an actor and his family told me that time and time again, he’s an installer,” added Moore. “But above all what they want here is for everyone to continue to pray. I believe in the power of prayer and I can promise you that his parents believe in the power of prayer… Please continue to pray.”

National Guard member Sarah Beckstrom, 20, of West Virginia, died after being shot Wednesday in the nation’s capital.

The suspect, Rahmanullah Lakanwal, 29, faces multiple charges, including one count of first degree murder and two counts of assault with intent to kill while armed. Attorney General Pam Bondi said the Department of Justice will pursue the death penalty for the suspect.

Beckstrstrom and Wolfe are members of the West Virginia National Guard, which was established in the nation’s capital to deal with crime in the city following an executive order from President Donald Trump earlier this year.

Lakanwal entered the United States on the heels of a devastating withdrawal from Afghanistan in August 2021 under the Biden Administration. Lakanwal arrived in the US a month after his “jobs were accepted.”

“The President is taking the right step by repatriating these people. But in my opinion, he shouldn’t have been here. He shouldn’t have come to this country to begin with,” said Saturday. “We’ve had over 80,000 Afghan nationals come into the United States, we don’t know these people. We don’t know who they are.”

“We have had terrorists come to the United States before. This is the first time I can remember that the United States government brought terrorists to our country, the United States,” he added. “After 13 of our Abbey members were killed at the Abbey gate, that failed policy just cost us American lives, and we shouldn’t be in a western state from West Virginia.”
