Pam Bondi clashes with Democrats in heated House confirmation hearing

The general consensus in the media is that Pam Bondi turned violent in a House hearing where she hurled insults at Democratic lawmakers.
And of course, he succeeded in avoiding questions by repeating, like the song, “Merrick Garland” – as in, why didn’t they ask Joe Biden’s AG about the Jeffrey Epstein case? (Other members agreed that he had a point but could not get an answer about his stay.)
Still, Democrats played a major role in the collapse. Members repeatedly used four of the five minutes they were allotted to make angry speeches, then clashed with Bondi when he tried to deflect their questions as the final seconds ticked away.
In short, they treated the trial like a circus on steroids again – yet they were let off the hook by the mainstream media.
BOND HEARINGS WAKE UP IN CONNECTION AS AG ACCUSES TOP DEMOCRATS OF ‘THEATRICS’

Everyone looked awful. However, in this hyperpartisan era, neither side believed that important information would be discovered. The goal these days is to create a dangerous moment that can be replayed on television, on the Internet, or in videos they post on social media and YouTube.
No one loves a deadly fight more than cable news producers, who milk these moments for days as anchors, hosts and guests argue about them — just as Bad Bunny’s endless feuds were beginning to die down.
Despite the complexity of the subject – a child-trafficking ring led by a man who trafficked in alleged high-ranking members of the organization, aided by his assistant Ghislaine Maxwell – it all ended with a shout.

Democrats have called Bondi a liar and a cover-up who should resign immediately. The attorney general called Jamie Raskin a “washed up loser” and Thomas Massie, a Republican, as suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” He said of Pramila Jayapal, “I will not enter the pit of her theatre.”
When Jerry Nadler made a long speech about how many people have been prosecuted in the Epstein investigation, he had time to answer his own question: Zero.
Perhaps the lowest moment came when Rep. Becca Balint, a Jewish Democrat who has accused Israel of genocide in Gaza, is having her moment.
“With this anti-Semitic culture,” said Bondi, “you voted against the resolution that condemned -“
The Vermont congressman cut him off. “He’s talking to a woman whose grandfather died during the Holocaust,” Balint said as he walked out of the room.
5 PAYING TIMES AS BONDI CONNECTS WITH DEMOCRACY IN BURNING HOUSES
In a couple of high-decibel hours, we got a master class in mutual interaction. But there is a long history here, even in the days when the two parties were not committed to the politics of self-destruction.
Theater has always been embedded as an art form. At the Senate Watergate hearings of 1973, Richard Nixon’s deputy assistant, Alexander Butterfield, revealed that there was a White House recording program, as senior committee officials knew he would do, to completely change the investigation and lead to the panel voting twice to impeach the president.
The 1954 Army-McCarthy impeachment hearings, about alleged Communist infiltration, culminated when Army adviser Joseph Welch confronted Joe McCarthy: “Have you no sense of honor, sir? Finally, have you no sense of honor?” This was at the dawn of the television era – and it led to accusations of negligence by the Wisconsin senator.
It is hard to avoid the conclusion that Bondi was playing to someone else’s audience. He said more than once that Donald Trump was the greatest president in history. And he wrote on Truth Social that he has been “good” against “Trump Deranged Radical Left Lunatics” and “SLIMEBALL Democrats.”
It seemed especially absurd when Bondi announced that the Epstein scandal was designed to direct attention to the Dow breaking 50,000.

For all the histrionics, it was a moment of silence that carried the day.
Eleven of Epstein’s victims were seated in the audience, behind the witness. Bondi, who has never met them, said his Justice Department was happy to take immediate meetings with any of them.

It was then that Jayapal – and this was an uphill climb – asked Bondi to repent and apologize to these women, whose lives Epstein had destroyed as girls. Pam Bondi ignored that.

The Democrat asked women to stand up and raise their hands if they haven’t been able to meet with Trump’s Justice Department. They all stood up and sent an incomprehensible message.
