PEBble makes a smart ring to save all your travel thoughts

PEBBLE’s PEBBLE’s Act is a smart ring with a built-in microphone to record your thoughts. Pebble SmartWatch Maker Eric Migicovsky, who recently re-found the Pebble Brand (now under the company’s new company devices) and revived the wearable e-paper, calls the $99 Smart Ring indicator “External Indemery” for your brain.
Unlike OneA ring 4 cerafic, Samsung Galaxy Ring, and many other Smart Rings designed to track your health and fitness, Pebble’s 01 indicator is single-purpose.
In a blog post describing the Index 01, Migicovsky says it’s “as small as a wedding band,” made of stainless steel, water-resistant, and comes in three colors.
The Smart Ring has a single button that you can press and hold to activate the microphone. It does not require an internet connection or registration fee. After working, you “whisper your thought,” which is then sent to your phone and “added to your notes, set as a reminder, or saved for later review.”
As you may have guessed, the name “Index 01” is named after the finger – your index – you wear. This allows you to use your thumb next to you to press and hold the microphone button, which Migicovsky says has a “click that clicks”—giving it the prospect of one-handed use. He says he had originally made a smartwatch app for PEBbleWatch, but it couldn’t be used with one hand and he found the “elevation motion and alertness” to be “impossible.”
Here’s how index 01 works, according to Migicovsky. The audio recording is first stored in the internal memory, streamed to the PEBBble application on your phone (iPhone or Android), converted to text, and then the large language model (LLM) turns into an action like your record and reminders. “

Index 01 is not an “AI Friend Thicy or recording device,” Migicvosky. Apparently, he is not a fan of AI devices such as Pundant’s friend who opposes (and sucks).
It is a simple gadget built with privacy in its hole. Migicovsky says that “the communication between the ring and the phone is encrypted,” and because all the audio is processed on the device and sent to your phone, no recordings are in the cloud. He says, “An optional cloud storage system to support recording is available,” but it’s not yet built.

As I skimmed Migicovsky’s detailed FAQ on index 01, a few things occurred to me. I love that the ring battery can last “years” -12 to 15 to 15 hours of battery life, if you use it 10 to 20 times second thoughts. But surprisingly, the reference 01 is a standalone device, which means it doesn’t have a rechargeable battery. Migicovsky says adding smooth rotation would have made the 01 index bulkier and more expensive. Instead, users are expected to send the smart ring back to Pebble for recycling; They will be prompted through the Pebble app to order another ring. Migicovsky estimates, based on the frequency of use mentioned above, that the 01 indicator should last about 2 years before it needs to be recycled. If you use it often, the battery can last longer.
Pre-orders for the Index 01 start today for a discounted $75, but that will rise to $99 after it ships first in March 2026.
As I mentioned before, the smart ring will come in three colors (silver plated, gold plated, and matte black). You will find eight sizes to choose from (6 to 13).
This was a PEBblel tool – built on the principles of open source and DIY users and customized reference 01. Migicovsky claims that he will be able to program your double-click sword, and send a recording of your application or server. Everything is too big for the spirit of stone.
