Among the usual slew of AI enhancements to its creative apps, Adobe has introduced a new Photoshop AI assistant to help automate repetitive tasks and provide personalized recommendations. At Adobe Max 2025, the company also received new tools for Photoshop, Premiere and Lightroom, while introducing a new AI Generative model and bringing new models from Topaz and others.
A key new feature in Photoshop and Express (Adobe’s All-in-One Design, photo, and video tool) is an AI assistant that allows you to talk to him in a chat style to get a chat fee, “according to Adobe. With that, you can tell him to take a series of creative tasks such as color correction in re-enhancement. You can easily switch between dynamic with the agent and booked tools like sliders to adjust contrast and contrast. It can also provide personalized recommendations and provide tutorials on how to accomplish complex tasks.
In a short demo, Adobe showed that when you switch to Photoshop’s “Agentic” mode in those applications, it reduces the usual complex interface and leaves you with a simple UI that is quickly based. You can then type the task you want to accomplish, and the agent will perform those steps automatically. You can jump back to the full interface to fine-tune the effect by changing things like brightness or levels.
Along with the AI assistant, adobe has introduced a few other AI tools for Photoshop. It is the chief among those new models of the filling partner produced which allows you to easily remove the unwanted material and fill the hole left behind. Those include the Google Gemini 2.5 F! Ash, Black Forest Labs Flux.1 Adobe’s latest graphics models. It also introduces the Firefly Screefly image model, Adobe’s most advanced image model.
Photoshop is also getting a new UpScale option that uses Topaz Lab’s ai e-UpScale to upscale other low-resolution images to 4K with “reasonable detail,” Adobe said. Another feature, sync, allows you to place objects or people in different locations in a realistic way, eliminating a lot of the work required to create it. Harmonize also matches the light, color and tone of objects in the foreground and people and people in the background.

Premiere, meanwhile, introduced a similar feature called AI Object Mask that allows us to automatically identify people and objects in the video, so they can be edited and tracked without any rostoscoping. The app also gets new rectangle, ellipse and pen masking in the premiere for making target corrections, and a quick vector mask for fast tracking.
Finally, Lightroom is getting a new feature called Assistive Touch. It allows you to quickly and easily find the best photos from a large collection of photos, with the ability to filter by factors such as focus level, angles and degrees of arcness.
Photoshop’s Fill with models partner, UpScale’s productivity and sync is now available to customers today. Premiere’s Ai Object Mask, rectangle, ellipse and masking pen and instant vector mask, as well as Lightroom’s AI-powered AI help drop, launched today in beta. Adobe’s PhotoShop Ai Assistant, meanwhile, will be available through a private beta list.
