Ports-A-Intent, Zen Garden Creator and other new indie games are worth checking out

Welcome to our latest roundup of what’s happening in the indie game space. This week saw the arrival of some other high profile ports, garden recreation and more. I even managed to get them out Football Manager 26 long enough to tell you some of them.
Hardly a week goes by without a great themed event happening on Steam and one that runs until November 10 and drops on the Nintendo ESHOP. The Metroidvania Fusion Festival is a festival of – what else? – A wide spectrum of metroidvania games. It features 245 projects, including upcoming games and demos, and sales at discounts of up to 90 percent.
I grabbed a few demos to check out this weekend, including The Key Fairy (A pacifist bullet-hell game that sees you face-to-face and dance your way around enemies), The Echo Weaver .
According to the deals, – Blasphemy 75 percent closed, Ihlambalazi II is a half off, 2D action game A gun (which I have had on my wish list for years) with 65 percent closure and physical pleasure Ink 22 percent are closed. I would wholeheartedly recommend Turbo babya Quasi-Sequeli to one of my favorite films of the same name. That’s 35 percent off this sale.
Elsewhere this week, I read a strong profile of engineer Lente Cuenen on The New York Times. Cuenen is an engineer of It’s spilled!a relaxing water cleaning game I’ve been meaning to check out for a while. The clip is an interesting glimpse into the life of Cuenen, who does boating while living on his boat in the Netherlands.
New release
A few reliable indies made the jump to Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 this week, including 1000xresist. This narrative-driven SCI-FI adventure from Sunset Guest and Publisher Prever Games received wide acclaim when it launched on Steam and Nintendo Switch last year, visuals and how it explores various conversations. It also won a peabody award.
I still have to go inside 1000xresisteven if it’s been on my PC and Steam Deck for months. PS5 and Xbox Series X / S now have a chance to jump. In addition, 1000xresist On Game Pass Premium, Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
More than a year after releasing the full version of -Satisfying On PC, coffee publishing and coffee publishing brought the factory builder that sells millions of sales to PS5 and Xbox Series X / S. You can play Solo or with friends as you build factories on an alien planet. You’ll explore the planet for resources and maybe engage in small battles.
Generally, both critics and players are limited -Satisfying a lot. Some might say it’s more than satisfactory.
Ponds was one of my favorite games of the past year. It’s a relaxing travel simulator, an eerie journey through liminal space. I could almost drink chlorine as I looked at the inspired swimming pools. It’s more eerie than scary. Developer Tensori brings the experience to iPhone, iPad and Mac this week. The iPad version also works on Apple Vision Pro.
That’s all, the real original form of Ponds It’s coming to PS VR2 on November 25. You’ll be able to check it out on FlatScreen on PS5 on the same day.
– He refuses Is the latest article from Brian Gibson, artist and creator of the dynamic rhythm game Shurper (and the bassist of the rock band lightning bolt). The arcade action game was released on Meta Quech and Apple Vision Pro last year. It made its way to Steam (and Steamvr) this week, so now you can play it on a flatscreen for the first time.
– He refuses is a very good looking game from advertiser epuddle and publisher label. It looks like it’s going wild and it was named Apple’s Vision Pro game of the year in 2024. What is appropriate. group behind – He refuses It says the game runs at 90 FPS on Steam Deck.
Here is a completely different change of pace. Dream Garden it’s about creating a relaxing garden space for yourself. You can use hills, rivers, lakes and rocks to shape the landscape, and add decorations. With the RACE tool, you can trace patterns in the sand.
There are no limits or timers in this Japanese inspired game from the duo at Campfire Studio. Dream Garden it is now outside in the valley.
A falconer First took flight five years ago – it was the Xbox Series X / S Launch Table, true fans. The new Steam program called Falconeer: Revolution Remaster It’s a complete work, as Solo Developer Tomas Sala rebuilt the game from the ground up. It includes New Tech, integrated and expanded areas, gameplay improvements and all previous DLC.
I am glad to hear that SALA has improved the mechanics of the aircraft. I found it difficult to get to grips with the air combat when I played A falconer Back in 2020, but I enjoyed it in a different way.
A Recasterged version (which looks more expansive than the original game) is available as a free upgrade for existing owners on Steam. Everyone else can enter for free until 1pm et November 10. While recall is now the default method, you will still be able to access the original version of A falconer Via a dedicated Steam branch, Hooray for saving the game!
It’s coming
It wouldn’t be our weekly round-up without a dog show, would it? You can play He eats shirts! Solo, but Ultimo Disco designed primarily as a cool bed party game or online multiplayer.
It is, as the name suggests, a game of times where you will carry flocks of sheep where you shear their wool. You can find cosmetic items and clothes for your pooch, and blast the difficulty with optional challenges if you like. He eats shirts! comes to the vein on November 17.
We’re big fans of playdates around these parts and it’s always fun to learn about new games that come in a fun little bag. Fear held a show this week to shine a light on some of the upcoming games, as well as others included in Fall sales.
Even Did Cadin Batrack follow up to Playdate Comics A botanist rider and Dust. It’s a pick-your-own visual novel with a branching narrative, this time set in the near future where super models begin to arrive where people can talk to animals. Animals use their new communication skills to demand equal rights. Even Looks pretty interesting! Coming to Playdate soon.
Zachary Snyder’s Kind of turned your back Is a puzzle adventure where you perform your tasks by discovering “mysterious powers to manipulate buildings and people around them.” At first glance, it reminds me a bit He died and the Monuley Series souvenir. Kind of turned your back will hit playdate on December 16th.
