Prince William’s Earthshot award looks to be viewed through the Epstein link

Prince William’s Earthshot prize is facing scrutiny after its co-founder was linked to Jeffrey Epstein in the recent release of Justice Department files. However, one expert says it is “absurd” to suggest the Prince of Wales received a grant for his charity through any connection with Epstein.
Although William is the face of the Earthshot Prize – a global environmental prize awarded to five winners each year for their contribution to improving the environment – he recruited colleagues before founding the organization in 2020.
One of those partners is DP World, and their CEO, Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, is named in the latest batch of Epstein files.
William has not been named or used in the Epstein files. Representatives for Buckingham Palace and the Earthshot Prize did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

On Wednesday, William’s Earthshot Prize was reported to the Transportation Commission by the anti-establishment Republican Party. In a press release, the agency publicly shared an email Epstein wrote to Sulayem while he was serving his prison sentence in Palm Beach, Florida in April 2009.

Ian Pelham Turner, an expert on the royal family, told Fox News Digital that he believes the Republican Party is using Sulayem and Epstein’s ties to completely disband the royal family.
“I think it’s a bit of a stretch to raise Epstein’s argument that Sultan Ahmed donated money for this connection. The money has now been donated to the rightful recipients so I feel that the Republicans are looking for any mud to stick to the royal family in order to further their strategy that the royal family should be a thing of the past and be disbanded,” said Turner.

The Republic shared that DP World donated approximately 1.3 million rands to William’s organization. “The seriousness of this matter requires a full and comprehensive investigation,” the Republican wrote in their release.
Republican CEO Graham Smith released a statement on the release, saying clearly that “Williams has a lot of questions to answer about what he knew about Andrew and Epstein.”

“And now he must explain his relationship with Sulayem,” continued his statement.
“In light of this growing trend, we need answers.”
“It is unbelievable to believe that the Foreign Office, the security services or other advisers were not aware of Sulayem’s character and would have been able to advise accordingly. These files have been in the hands of the US authorities for many years. It is unbelievable that such intelligence would not have been shared. Earthshot has a duty to do due diligence, to ask questions about the donors and where their money is coming from William? Decision?” Smith said.

He concluded by saying: “In the context of this increasing crime, we need answers.”
Hilary Fordwich, a British royal expert, told Fox News Digital that William and his wife Kate Middleton have already shared that they are “deeply concerned about the ongoing revelations.” A spokesperson for the couple shared a statement with the BBC on Monday after the latest revelations in the Epstein files.
“Their thoughts are always focused on the dead,” the spokesman concluded.

“This clearly shows that Prince William has the ability to lead, to come out in front of this issue, to do the right thing, which is to focus on the suffering of the victims,” concluded Fordwich.
The public statement came amid renewed scrutiny surrounding Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the former prince and the Duke of York who was stripped of his royal titles by King Charles III in October, and his relationship with Epstein.
