Protesters place plaques in memory of Virginia Giuffre in the gardens of Buckingham Palace – National

Activists from the group Everybody Hates Elon installed memorial stones to Virginia Giuffre – one of Jeffrey Epstein’s known sex victims – in the garden outside Buckingham Palace on Tuesday, as part of a protest demanding justice for those who were abused by the former financier.
An illegal sign was also affixed to the fenced gates of one of the parks surrounding the Royal Family’s London residence, which read, “In honor of Virginia Giuffre, whose campaign exposed sexual abuse by powerful men such as Jeffrey Epstein and former Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.”
It also “rebranded” the site as the Virginia Giuffre Memorial Garden.
“His courage and determination revealed the truth. May he be remembered long after his tormentors have been forgotten.”

Giuffre, who grew up in Florida but lived in Australia with her three children and husband until her death, became an advocate for sex-trafficking survivors after emerging as a key figure in Epstein’s protracted fallout.
He died by suicide in April 2025, months before his anniversary, No Girlwas published. The book details years of alleged abuse by Epstein and a catalog of his powerful allies, including Mountbatten-Windsor. Giuffre accused the former prince of forcing him to have sex at the London home of Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s long-time partner, when he was 17.
In a lawsuit filed in New York in 2021, Giuffre said the alleged assault was orchestrated by Epstein, who he says smuggled him to Mountbatten-Windsor multiple times.
She also accused Mountbatten-Windsor of abusing her at Epstein’s Manhattan mansion and on Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands.
The two reached an out-of-court settlement in February 2022 for an undisclosed amount. Before an agreement could be reached, Mountbatten-Windsor renounced his military titles and patronage, returning them to his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.
He was later stripped of his remaining titles by his brother King Charles III. He was arrested in February on charges of misconduct in public office related to the trade secrets he is accused of sharing with Epstein in 2010.
Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently denied any wrongdoing regarding her friendship with Epstein and has also denied Giuffre’s allegations.
Everybody Hates Elon tagged the Royal Family in the caption of his post, writing, “Shame on you @theroyalfamily if they don’t keep this new monument we put up in Buckingham Palace gardens.”
“Andrew, and the world, Virginia’s bravery must be remembered forever. Justice for all Epstein survivors.”
The group has faced a number of Epstein-related protests, including hanging a picture of Mountbatten-Windsor leaving a Norfolk police station after his arrest in February at the Louvre.
In September 2025, before US President Donald Trump’s visit to the UK, the group displayed a large photo of Trump and Epstein outside Windsor Castle and later displayed large photos and video of Epstein and Mountbatten-Windsor on its exterior walls.
Last June, before the wedding of Venetian billionaire Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez, the group unveiled a huge banner in Piazza San Marco that said, “If you can’t rent Venice for your wedding, you can pay more taxes,” and included a picture of Bezos, his head thrown back and his mouth open with laughter.
Giuffre’s plaques were removed by a farmer, according to a video obtained by UK publication Metro.
