In addition, proton automatically identifies this list of emails as “newsletters” and makes them from their point of view. There, you can see how many messages they have sent, move the addresses to different folders, and write that one in the list. Proton also shows the services that you are already registered to. their list. (Gmail also adds a subscription management system.)
The difference with Proton from other clients is that these tools are delivered up front. I only had five email addresses that it didn’t recognize as a mailing list. Most of the emails were classified well, and the app itself forced me to use the available tools.

The appearance of the proton is normal. By default, you have the Inbox of the inbox of the Reminder List of Gmail, with the options of spaing normal or “combined”, in which you save what will make each line. You can use a column layout, which moves your inbox to the left of the screen with a view of each message on the right, similar to Outlook’s default view. You also get a toolbar on the right that will show your contacts and calendar, and a menu on the left that shows your labels and folders. You’ve used an interface like this before.

When you start digging, there are important differences. When writing an email, you will find several buttons at the bottom of the screen. One allows you to set a password, encrypting the destination email regardless of whether the server goes through. Others allow you to set an expiration date for messages, as well as attach your public key; more on that later.
I don’t use AI writing assistants, but proton allows you to localize its writing assistant, which is a significant differentiator compared to all other e-mails with the same feature. Many AI features run on remote servers, so if you enter stimuli with Google’s AI, for example, those protocols are stored on Google’s servers. With Proton, you can save that breakfast, there is no remote server involved. You’ll need a PC that meets the program’s specific requirements, and generating text isn’t as fast as Sevaton’s Server. But having a choice is great.

As for reading emails, Proton goes out of his way to make things as straightforward as possible. By default, messages are loaded with rich full text, including images. However, proton will block images from uploading if there are trackers attached to them. It will also, by default, ask for confirmation when you click a link, showing the full URL before it is loaded. Important, especially on mobile devices where you can hover over a link to check if an email is legitimate or a phishing attempt.
Most of the features available in the web or desktop app are available in proton’s mobile app, which, at the time of writing, has just been added to Android and iOS. You can bind actions to swipe left or right to quickly save or edit messages, as well as use offline mode, which is a new addition. My only quibble with the mobile app is that it doesn’t offer the same tools for subscribing to mailing lists. They are completely absent, so you will need to deal with everything through the Web or Desktop application.
