Rihanna reveals the backdrop of a wardrobe malfunction at A$AP Rocky’s fashion show

Rihanna had an unexpected fashion mishap when she stepped out to support her boyfriend, A$AP Rocky, at his AWGE Fall/Winter 2026 fashion show during New York Fashion Week.
On Friday night, the 37-year-old singer was photographed attending the show at the Hall des Lumières in New York City. Rihanna wore a black fur-trimmed AWGE leather jacket that featured a high slit down the back, which she teamed with a black lace bra, sheer black stockings and black pointy heels.
As Rihanna arrived and entered the venue, the back of her jacket appeared to be more open than intended, briefly revealing part of her rear.

The singer of the song “Sithole Uthando” quickly adjusted the dress, pulling the tail to cover the back, although the revealing moment was caught on camera by photographers.
Rihanna appeared to shrug off the incident once inside the venue as she sat in the front row next to Rocky’s cousin, rapper A$AP Nast, and her Interview magazine editor-in-chief, Mel Ottenberg.
The nine-time Grammy Award winner was seen smiling while watching the show and posing for photos with Nast and Ottenberg.

In an interview with Page Six’s Alexa after the show, Rihanna praised the 37-year-old rapper, who launched her fashion brand, AWGE, at Paris Fashion Week in 2024.
“I’m always proud of my man,” said Rihanna. “My boy is smart and smart.”
Rihanna and Rocky, born Rakim Athelaston Mayers, began dating in late 2019 after years of friendship and working together. The two went public with their romance in mid-2020 and later welcomed sons RZA Athelston Mayers, 3, Riot Rose Mayers, 2, and daughter Rocki Irish Mayers, six months old.

The Fenty Beauty founder previously lashed out at Rocky after his latest album, “Don’t Be Dumb,” reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart last month.
“I’m just here to let you know that my baby’s father got ALBUM NUMBER 1!!!” Rihanna wrote on social media at the time. “Aaahhhhhh hah! DON’T BE A MOSQUITO!!!”
During a 2021 interview with GQ, Rocky described Rihanna as “the love of my life” and “my lady.”

“[Relationships are] you’re so much better when you get The One,” he told the magazine. “You’re almost the same, like a million others.”
While speaking to Interview magazine in 2023, Rihanna praised Rocky’s style and jokingly compared herself to her boyfriend.

“Isn’t he the best?” he said. “I feel confused as s— around this man. I feel like, ‘Goddamn, I’m like his assistant.’ I’m getting on a plane. We have to sweat. He wants to wear a full Bottega suit. I’m like, ‘Why did you have to do that to me?’
Rihanna also shared that their relationship came naturally from a friendship, noting that they were cautious at first because they knew what a relationship can mean when it works.

“Covid accelerated our relationship, which I felt God knew we needed because we were going to start a family,” she said. “And if it wasn’t for COVID, we would have taken a lot of time to relax with each other, knowing that we are ready.”

Rihanna recalled that she and Rocky were both sure they wanted to start a family together.

“We didn’t really talk about it,” he said. “There was no denying it. It was the best thing that ever happened to us. It just happened.”
“I let God lead me and I just let go,” he said. “Because in the past relationship, I tried and tried and tried my best, and you still feel like it’s not enough. So when someone sees you completely and believes in you, and thinks you deserve to be the mother of their children, it’s a great feeling. I felt the same about him. I knew he was going to be a great father.”
