Grow a garden. 99 Nights in the forest. Stealing the brain.
If you are a parent, you may have heard your kids talking about one of these roblox games at some point. They play roblox. They are friends playing roblox. Half of all children are under the age of 16 In the US to play Roblox.
Unfortunately, with so many kids on roblox, predators are using the online gaming platform. And, for that matter, roblox -nana fall hit with a open it falls hile on top of its failure to keep children safe on the platform.
So, is roblox safe for your kids? If your child is already on roblox, what should you do?
As a father of three young children, two of whom play roblox regularly and one who will start playing as soon as he learns how to hold a tablet, I ensure the safety of their children while playing this game.
What is roblox, and should my kids play it?
Roblox is an online game where your character can explore the virtual environment and interact with other roblox characters. The world of roblox is cartoony, the characters are like those of lego people.
At this point, roblox is more like a gaming platform than an independent game. Roblox users create their own games in Virtual Land, where other roblox players can play. ROBLOX has its own economy, with roblox game developers making hundreds of thousands of dollars or more if their game is popular. There is a virtual currency for the game called RABUX, which can be used to access premium features and items.
Due to the nature of roblox, it received an official ESRB rating of T for young. However, it is because some games are entered that level of rating. If your child tells you that they are playing roblox, that is not giving you a lot of information. They are the same ones who tell you that they play video games. You need to know exactly what games they play on roblox to get an idea of what is and what is not.
Obviously, whether your children play or not is up to you. But, I decided that it was prepared for my kids the same way I let them watch their favorite kids shows on Netflix. There are many older movies available, but with the right controls and parental controls, you can also find age-appropriate content for your kids.
Getting started on roblox
So, you have decided your child can play on roblox. Now, this is where you will find that roblox actually has several parental controls in place to keep kids safe on the platform. However, parents need to make time for these things.
Bright light speed
First things first: Creating your roblox accounts.
That’s right, I said “accounts” as before. Your child will have an account, and so will you. Create your accounts, then your child’s account, by navigating to Settings > Parental Controls > Add Parent. Enter your account email, and receive the Link account request in your inbox. You will need to verify your age and identification to prove you are a parent.

When your account is connected, parents will need to set a parental PIN number to access those parental controls and prevent their children from changing them. After that, you will have full access to control your child’s account settings and view any pending requests your child receives.
Parental controls and content
ROBLOX offers many options to ensure your child’s safety on the platform. However, you have to set these things.
In the parental control settings of your account, under the maturity of the content, parents can set content restrictions based on the level of maturity itself, it means less violence, which allows it to be less violent, which allows illegal restrictions, allowed, unrestricted content on roblox. You probably don’t want that ending. There are two labels for older children, mild and medium, and these settings can be changed by the parent at any time.

Restricted experience allows parents to block certain game titles within roblox, even if they are in the content maturity options you set in the menu mentioned earlier. As games are added to roblox, parents can find a specific game that adheres to roblox’s content labels but contains an attribute that makes the content unsuitable for their child. Parents can use the search bar to find this experience and block it.
Likewise, there are serious issues with changing the focus of games to your child that may be directed toward social, political, or religious issues. Parents can choose to block games listed as sensitive issues here, even if these titles fall within the previous content maturity settings.

Child Safety Controls
Now come privacy controls that directly address child safety issues where roblox is tested.
In the communication section of the parental controls, parents can set whether their children can communicate with the Roblox experience. For young children, the option is simple: Turn those conversations off completely by selecting ‘nobody’.

However, as your kids get a little older and want to connect with their real friends at school, there are more options you’ll want to put in place. ROBLOX allows users to “friend” each other through communication. Additionally, they can form a party or a group of friends who can join the experience together.
Parents can view and manage all of their child’s communications to ensure that they only connect with people they know and trust in real life. In addition, parents can change the visibility of their child’s profile so that only communication can see where their child is on Roblox and what game they are currently playing.

In addition, parents can control the group settings so that their child can create a party only with users they connect with. Parents can also narrow down the group options accordingly for younger kids who won’t interact with anyone on Roblox.

Private servers are another option that is more feasible for you based on the age of your child. Private servers actually allow users to participate in the ROBLOX experience with a select group of people. For younger children, you’ll want to turn this off completely. For older kids, setting up private servers to connect to will allow them to play with their friends.

While roblox can always do more to protect its young users, the platform has excellent child safety measures. The problem is that parents need to know about them and learn how to use them. I hope, this guide helps.
