Story Created by Chadwick Boseman
That creative intent shaped everything. Rather than ramping up the action or expanding the scope of Wakanda’s enemies, it’s real Black Panther 2 focused inward. The story follows T’Challa after the events of Avengers: Endgamedealing with Blip’s emotional collapse and the years of life he lost.

The film explored themes of missed time, responsibility, and the difficulty of returning to a life that moved on in your absence. It was a narrative based on reflection rather than reaction, and one that relied heavily on Boseman’s ability to convey emotion quietly.
Coogler later described Boseman as very excited about the project and ready to begin work, a detail that only added to the emotional weight surrounding the unfinished film.
