Super Mario Bros. Nintendo Switch 2 Wonder: How to pre-order, upgrades, and more

Where to pre-order ‘Super Mario Bros. Wonder’ for Switch 2

It is legal: Super Mario Bros. Wonder is getting an extended release for the Nintendo Switch 2 this year. The exciting game – which we called “the silly and playful return of Nintendo’s mascot” in our review back when it was first released in 2023 – is set to get both a physical and digital Switch 2 Edition on March 26.
This new version also comes with an expansion called Meetup at Bellabel Park, the addition of characters with Rosalina and her friend, Co-Star Luma, and a few other small improvements.
If the announcement is itching to get your hands on it, pre-orders are now live, though currently only available via the upgrade pack. If you already own a Switch 2 console and a copy of the Super Mario Bros. Wonder For the actual Switch, you can throw some money into an upgrade package right now at Nintendo for $19.99 to secure the upgrade, which will be in effect when the system launches on Switch 2 on March 26.
At the time of writing this, pre-orders are not available for the Nintendo Switch 2 Standard Edition of Super Mario Bros. Wonder in its digital or physical format.
What’s coming with the Switch 2 upgrade?
The Switch 2 upgrade for Super Mario Bros. Wonder is full of exciting new features for Nintendo fans.
The biggest new addition is Meetup at Bellabel Park, an expansion that adds a new location to the existing game. Here’s what Nintendo has to say about the new location: “Gather friends and family and visit Bellabel Park, the new Flower Kingdom area that includes two large plazas filled with attractions. Meet up or face challenges like Fast Cash: Tip Tap’s Coin Spree where you collect as many gold coins as possible, or Knock ’em Back: Bubble Blaster and stay in your place to survive.”
Alongside a new area to explore, the Switch 2 Edition also expands the cast to include Rosalina and Co-Star Luma. It’s a great time for the first one, if only he will have his first screen The Super Mario Galaxy movie. Alongside the new characters, there are also new boss tutorials and a new help mode to help you out as you play.

It doesn’t end there. Nintendo also revealed that three new amiibo will drop on the same day as the Switch 2 Edition: Mario the Elephant, Poplin & Prince Florian, and Captain Toad and the Talking Flower.
The Talking Flower – now available for pre-order from Nintendo for $34.99 on the March 12 release date – randomly talks to you throughout the day, regardless of the time, temperature, or just to give you words of encouragement. If this talking plant is something you can’t wait to bring home, you can get your pre-orders in now before the release date.
