Her critics are happy to point out that most of her movies don’t make any real money, and use this to make it seem like her stardom is somehow fake or that her looks don’t really appeal to men.
This is the trickiest decision anyone can make. It’s like Anna Nicole Smith wasn’t really famous, because she failed to act The Matrix. Or like saying that no one thought Charlize Theron was cute, because they didn’t buy a ticket to see her turn into a monster. A monster.

Sydney Sweeney’s popularity on the Internet is due to two very simple things. First of all, she is extremely beautiful and willing to show off her physical assets for the viewers to enjoy, shamelessly. Second, he is not an untouchable activist expressing unpopular, politically biased views.
His popularity could easily translate into box office dollars, but for some reason, Sweeney chose not to cash in on it. Instead, he recently made a film based on a book, Domestic maidknown to be popular only with women, and starring someone who has spent much of his media career talking about political ideas.

Sydney Sweeney is popular for her good looks. So it should come as no surprise to him or anyone else that none of his ilk would pay to see Sydney in a movie where she’s deliberately unlikable.
A Housekeeper Is Half a Step in the Right Way
Domestic maid it is Sweeney’s first movie to do moderately well at the box office. It’s no coincidence that it’s also Sweeney’s first recent film that leans on his passion instead of relying on it.
The last film she starred in, which enhanced her appearance, was a Netflix special rom-com. Anyone But You. However, that was released more than a year before his popularity skyrocketed after those successful jeans commercials.
The true test of Sydney Sweeney’s popularity will only come when she finally does something that is completely dependent on her internet persona, instead of spitting in your face. That means making a film that appeals to men, allowing her to be attractive, and not be weighed down by the unpopular politics of the film or her co-stars.
Barbarella is the True Test
A fair test of Sydney Sweeney’s fame is a film like Barbarella. He has long been attached to the remake of the space babe movie. If that happens sometime in the next year or two, expect a box office performance that lives up to the popularity of Sydney Sweeney’s red carpet photos shared online.
Until we find out Barbarellaor something similar, nothing Sydney Sweeney does tells us anything except that she’s not smart enough to use her popularity.
