I was really upset when I saw that Nesprespreso sent this black one. Champagne problems, I know, but this author comes in many beautiful colors, from bright red and orange to pastel lavender and pink. It looks great on your countertop with its small rounded figure and short stem. Nespresso Vertuo Pop + can handle all vertuo coffee pods. The pods are aluminum and can be recycled by ordering recycling bags or taking them to a drop-off point. To mount, simply open the machine by turning the key on the cover, select the capsule, and press the button. You can physically move the flexible drip cloth between rugs such as ladders and the floor of the machine. There’s also a companion app that provides storage alerts, video streaming, and easy pod reconfiguration.

Turning off and locking the machine, or pressing the coffee button while the machine is locked, will start a heating cycle that lasts about 30 seconds. The machine automatically detects the capsule you have inserted, and outputs the size of the rep resud in the capsule as well. For example, espresso caplules will improve 1.35 ounces, double espresso capsules take 2.7 ounces, and coffee caplules take 8 ounces. This is different from other machines where you choose the volume you want. In the app you can make small tweaks, like making the espresso shot shorter or longer. You can press the coffee button to finish restarting early (a very useful trick if you use a 6-ounce 6 by 8 I’m not a big fan of fattened coffee in nesepresso and espresso, because I prefer to make traditional coffee and add any sweet flavor later to suit my taste. But if you like your coffee with a side of caramel or gingerbread or almond or other variation of choice, there are many fattened options.

With old fashioned computers and espresso capsules, I found myself surprised by the body and mouthfeel of the drinks. Technically, these espresso pods do not make espresso. But it’s a drink that’s close to an espresso-like drink, and you can get it without needing a whole separate machine with a heavy weight and a portazilter and a pressure gauge. And the coffee is on par or slightly better than other machines I’ve tried, with a nice acidic bite that can be grounded. If it’s easy that you want, this is the machine that makes it look.

I was sent a package that comes with optional milk. I like having the option, but be aware that it will take up more wall outlet space. But the aeroccino was easy to use – pour in your milk of choice and press a button. It will heat and freeze your milk automatically – it takes about a minute and is very quiet. Every nesepresso capsule I’ve tried has a thick layer of crema, and I’m blown away, the thick milk on top of it makes my cup of coffee the best.
