The M6 MacBook could finally get an OLED touchscreen

This year’s MacBook Pro Revuskuthana felt more subdued compared to previous years. Apple has made less noise than usual about its new M5 MODE line with the new 14-inch MacBook Pro model. If the latest leak is to be believed, it should have been holding for at least a year. Big MacBook Pro Redsign could give Mac Fans everything they want since apple switched to its M-Series chips. Yes, that includes the long-promised OLED display, touch screen, and a new design that finally hits the notch in the hell hole where it came from.
You can just guess who is spilling the beans on the next MacBook refresh. Bloomberg’s Apple Leachieder-In-Chief Mark Gurman pointed to his usual shot of unknown sources that the M6 MacMac Prove will arrive sometime in 2026 or at the beginning of 142. Based on previous leaks, we expect Apple to maintain its high-end M5 chips early next year.
While we can still guess the M6 will be a better performance than the M5, the next Gen MacBook finally offers a bright diliode display. This type of display uses an attractive material that provides deep “Inky” blacks and a better range than a standard LCD. Apple calls the OLED displays on existing iPhones “Super Retina XDR,” although the cream of the crop among Apple’s OLED gadgets — actually two OLEDs with better brightness — is found in the recently unveiled M3 iPRO.
The icing on the cake may be that Apple finally offers a touchscreen on the MacBook Pro. Gurman suggested that the PC will not be flexible – those PCs whose screens can rotate 90 degrees to form a tablet. Instead, it can be your standard touchscreen laptop, complete with a standard trackpad. Apple decided to put a Touch Screen on MACS, finding out that the iPad had that style of control. However, now that iPados 26 finally allow for sliding windows to extend multitasking, the lines between tablet and macbook are starting to blur. Apple’s current CEO, Tim Cook, once compared touchscreens on laptops to “a toaster and a refrigerator.” I think we shouldn’t tell him about that in the toaster with the touch screen of his colleague James Pero who was recently updated.
Not only does the screen look and feel better, but it can sport features that I and other users have been begging Apple to include for years. The current MacBook Sport screens a “Notch” around the webcam facing the user’s side. The next Mac can squeeze the edge of the screen and replace it with something on the iPhone’s powerful island. This feature comes with notifications and other useful information based on the app running in the background, such as timers or Uber driving times.
Both 14- and 16-inch MacBooks can get these upgrades, according to Gurman. Apple will increase the prices of its M6 Macbooks to compensate for the more expensive screen model. Current MacBook Pros use the Mini Led format, which Apple calls Retina XDR. The current base M5 MacMacobook Pro with 16GB of RAM and 512GB Storage starts at $1,600.
The last few macooks have left machines that perform better every year, but without changes in their shell, it is difficult to argue with anyone who should suffer with the latest model if they use the M-Series Macbook. Apple may end up saving the M5 PRO for the M5 If the company is still nervous about the touchscreen mac, maybe the company should have another go at the Wonky Touch Bar on the beautiful Decunct 13-Inch MacBook, as if you can do it again.
