The NBC host asks Kelly if she will refuse orders if she is in uniform

“You were a pilot yourself, flying the 39th combat mission over Iraq and Kuwait. You’re asking officers in the field to be interrogated by all the drug boats, can you refuse that order in real time?” NBC host Kristen Welker asked Kelly during a press conference. “
Kelly, Sen. Elissa Slotkin, D-mich. Chris Deluzio, D-PADEMPLERE, DN.h. The video was called out by President Donald Trump, who accused lawmakers of accepting it.
Kelly said he sank two ships during his service and added, “I never again questioned whether those orders were legal or illegal.”

“People can tell the difference, they should be able to tell the difference, between illegality and something legal, if you don’t have time, if I have a conversation about it.
Welker said it puts a lot of responsibility on military commanders to make those decisions in real time.
“It’s a huge burden on the military, but that’s their job and they can find out, a reasonable person can say something that’s legal and illegal,” Kelly said.
Welker also asked Kelly if he refused orders to hit drug boats while in uniform.

“The difference between the first strike, and what is reported as the second strike, and those things are different. I think that the management has bound itself when it is legal,” he answered, “why are these people in a difficult place,” he answered.
Kelly said members of the military can find the road and use it to do something “illegal.”
“It is not fair to them. That is why we need a President and Secretary of Defense who understand the Constitution and respect the rule of law of the Constitution and the country and the members of the service, rather than the president,” he added.

Kelly doubled down on her situation, telling Jimmy Kimmel of The Late Late Show that she wasn’t backing down.
“You can’t follow the trail of this brother and what he says. I will tell you this but, I don’t give up that something is easy. We responded,” said Kelly, “said Kelly,” said those who were killed by the President.
