Texas A&M outscored South Carolina 28-0 in the second half to complete its biggest comeback.
Marcel Reed threw for a career-high 439 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Aggies to 10-0 on the season.
It’s the biggest comeback in school history, capping a 21-point rally by Johnny Maziel-LED’s team in a 52-48 win in the 2013 Chick-fil-a bowl at Duke. Entering Saturday, teams were 0-286 in Southeastern Conference play since 2004 when trailing by 27 points or more.
Reed was held back in a bad first half, where he fumbled twice and was blocked as the Aggies were sent back to a 30-3 rout of Texas A&M that opened the playoffs in college football.
The Aggies took their first lead on a 4-yard run by Ej Smith with 11 minutes left.
Texas A&M had a 1st down after that, but Jamarion Mort was forced to fumble and the Gamecocks recovered for about three minutes.
