Kansas City’s offense was rotten all night but the game was over.

The Chiefs got the first penalty of the night at a very bad time. The Broncos lined up to get it on 4th-and-2 from the Kansas City 9-yard line. As Bo Nix called the signals, Chiefs defensive end Chris Jones drew an offsides penalty. It gave the Broncos a new set of downs and a chance to put a knife in the hearts of Chiefs fans.

Nix found RJ Harvey for the go-ahead run with 1:45 left in the game. It proved to be a game winner.

The Broncos’ second-year quarterback finished 26-of-38 with 182 passing yards and a touchdown pass to Harvey. One trick led to the Chiefs scoring a goal.

Chiefs quarterback Chris Oladokun had 66 passing yards in three games. He threw a touchdown pass to Brashard Smith.

“I think I’m still looking for those answers. I think, obviously, the way this ended with a sour taste in my mouth, I feel inspired, but I have to make the right decision for me,” he told Gonzalez. “I have to hope that, you know, if I want to come back, the Chiefs are willing to bring me back.

“So there’s two ways to that, but, at the same time, man, me, at this time of the year, I’m just trying to finish and give Chiefs Kingdom everything I’ve got and go out there and do it with that skill that I’m playing with.”
