Trump is popular as a peddler of peace abroad, a divisive figure at home

President Trump continues to be praised as a global peacemaker for freeing Hamas hostages and ending the fire between Israel and the terrorist group.

But it is also a classic case of wataboutism, with the leaders of each party – there are exceptions – focusing on another point of view.

Vance continued yesterday, saying, “It’s true that kids do stupid things. Especially little boys, they tell jokes, they’re offensive.” And, it’s not just boys.

In the Middle East, Trump was trying to bring the wars together. In America, he is the Great Ruler, doing whatever it takes to exercise and expand his power.

Many politicians are fighting for unity, if only the dynamic gains are on their side. That has never been Trump’s style, going back to his days as an architect and then as a candidate. His default setting is to fight.

Right now, Bibi Netanyahu likes Donald Trump. So, do the same with those who voted for him in winning the election. But the President has shown little interest in defeating his detractors.
