Trump pushes back on rumors of Kristi Noem’s return, calls it ‘delicious’

President Donald Trump pushed back on rumors that he wanted to replace Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and told reporters he believed she had been ‘believing.’
“I read a story recently that I am happy about Kristi – I am very happy with her … We have the best border in the history of our country.
The President’s comments follow a recent report from MS now stating that a White House official said Noem was on “very thin” Ice. The report called for Trump to look into a position to rest before January, and that White House chief of staff Stephen Miller was leading the charge.

According to the report, Miller and other White House officials were frustrated because they did not like the pace at which he was working to build new detention centers. In addition, the report states that several governors had raised vocal complaints about the management of Noma and disaster relief funds.

Noem hits back at FEMA critics, unveils vision for disaster relief agency
On Monday, the White House strongly denied the report and accused Ms. Now of a false narrative.
“Everything about this is completely mis-documented. Secretary Noem is doing a great job using the President’s agenda and making false grants,” White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said in a statement.

During the rounds on Wednesday, Trump shut down rumors that he was appeased by Secretary of War Pete Hegseth over controversial military strikes on suspected drug-trafficking boats. Trump said his feelings about Hegseth’s work were “extremely the opposite” of what was reported and called the Secretary of War “.
Trump joked that he “should think” about Commerce Secretary Hollard Lutnick, who was sitting across the table, before praising him. The President similarly commended Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Education Secretary Linda McMahon.
