Valencia’s contract with the Malian midfielder

A roundup of the latest developments in the transfer industry, as La Liga sides try to organize their summer business.
Celta Vigo are close to renewing a strong defender
Celta Vigo defender Carl Starfelt has confirmed that negotiations have begun over a new deal, with his current contract set to expire in 2027.
“I have one year left on my contract after this season. There is no pressure. But I think there have been informal discussions between the team and my agent. We will see how everything goes,” he told MD.
Espanyol and Celta fight for Elche player
Another player out of contract this summer is Elche midfielder Aleix Febas. It has been reported for weeks that Espanyol will secure his signature on a free transfer this summer, but RadioMarca claim that Celta Vigo are trying to convince him to join the Galician club. Osasuna is trailing in the race for his signature.
Ajax opens negotiations with Girona
Following reports that Ajax Sporting Director Jordi Cruyff wanted to bring in Girona manager Michel Sanchez, Marca have confirmed talks between the two. He is out of contract at the end of the season.
Former Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek is under contract until 2028, but MD say Girona could be looking to move on from him, after another injury-plagued season for one of their top earners.
Osasuna are keen to link the midfielder with Alessio Lisci
According to MD, Osasuna is interested in Real Oviedo midfielder Alvaro Reina. The 28-year-old spent two years with manager Alessio Lisci at Mirandes, and was one of their standout players. He will have a year left on his contract in the summer.
The Real Oviedo midfielder says he wants to stay
Real Oviedo midfielder Santiago Colombatto has announced his desire to stay at the club next season even if Los Carbayones are relegated. The Argentine is currently on loan at Club Leon – MD owns his quotes.
“It is not the time to talk about the future because the club is facing a difficult time. I always said that I want to stay here. Many times it is not for me, as we have seen in the last few years. I was loaned to Grupo Pachuca and it is not for me, so we will have to wait and see. My goal is to stay in Oviedo, so my time staying in Oviedo is happy, so my family is happy, no matter where I am and I am happy. and we will see.”
On the other hand, outstanding goalkeeper Aaron Escandell is not so clear about his future.
“All I can think about is day by day here. I want to continue to enjoy this difficult situation, because nobody likes to be down there. I don’t know what the future holds; I have a contract with Real Oviedo. I’m happy here, and I don’t think it’s the right time. I’m focused on reaching our goal of staying in the First Division.”
Valencia wraps up the signature of the Mali international
As reported by Marca, Malian international Aliou Dieng will sign a three-year contract with Valencia in the summer. The 28-year-old midfielder will join Al-Ahly on a free transfer after signing a pre-contract, and it is noted that the deal does not prevent Valencia from keeping Guido Rodriguez as well.
In addition, ONtime Sports (via MD) say Los Che are tracking Egyptian goalkeeper Oufa Shobeir, Dieng’s teammate at Al-Ahly. This summer, Julen Agirrezabala will return to Athletic Club after his loan, while Stole Dimitrievski’s contract has expired.
Right-back Thierry Rendall could be on the way. MD says PSV Eindhoven would be interested in a free transfer if Sergino Dest leaves. Valencia GM Ron Gourlay has confirmed talks about a renewal, but those talks have not progressed.
