Washington Democrat warns of male democracy to win election

Gelsenkamp Perez caused a political shock Wednesday by seeking a vote that rejected Rep., D-Lill.

CNN’s Jake Tapper recalled Glebenkamp Perez’s accusation that Garcia’s departure “undermines a free and fair election process,” noting that it is typical of a Democrat to turn on a party ally in this way.

“Because I believe that believing the difference in the election is wrong no matter who does it,” he said. “And I think that now we see the American, it’s very much from the American people to be transparent and accountable. He warned that democracy will not be saved by avoiding it.

“What is the use of winning the election at all costs, even your integrity, if you are in this process, to destroy the confidence of Americans in the government?

“Without a doubt, that’s what Congressman Garcia smells like,” he agreed. “And the voters went up outside, you know, taking a position on what kind of politician, or his successor, is going to be there. You’re right.

He went on to question whether the events of the previous election, such as the Democratic Party securing a bid from the primary opposition and then recording Harris as his successor without a vote, influenced his decision.

“Yes. I think there is one strong school of thought in DC that it’s like democracy has gone real that we have to make people’s choices, that the American people are not smart enough to choose their representatives. ‘ I think the lack of confidence of the voters is toxic, and it’s not true,” he said.

Gerenkamp Perez, who identifies as Latina himself, was also asked about the recent accusations against Garcia because he is Latino and progressive.

“Identity politics does not justify the skipping of elections,” he said. “There is nothing that justifies that. If you say that it is wrong, you must say that it is wrong consistently. It cannot be said that respect for the voters will not be considered, even if we are working ethically.”
