Gelsenkamp Perez caused a political shock Wednesday by seeking a vote that rejected Rep., D-Lill.

Genenkamp Perez said he felt the need to speak.

“Because I believe that believing the difference in the election is wrong no matter who does it,” he said. “And I think that now we see the American, it’s very much from the American people to be transparent and accountable. And it doesn’t just show a disorder of misconduct, that you know, that you do it politically, that you do it regularly.”

The conservative Democrat noted that it was not only that he was shocked by Garcia’s alleged trust, but that other defectors contacted each other.

“One of the disturbing things is that, right after the news basically came out about how Chuy chose his fan base, I saw a lot of members congratulating him that it was,” he said. “And I think it made a lot of sense for me to say that this is not something to brag about, or imitate or copy.”

He warned that democracy will not be saved by avoiding it.

“What is the use of winning the election at all costs, even your integrity, if you are in this process, to destroy the confidence of Americans in the government?

“Without a doubt, that’s what Congressman Garcia smells like,” he agreed. “And the voters went up outside, you know, taking a position on what kind of politician, or his successor, is going to be there. You’re right.

He went on to question whether the events of the previous election, such as the Democratic Party securing a bid from the primary opposition and then recording Harris as his successor without a vote, influenced his decision.

“Yes. I think there is one strong school of thought in DC that it’s like democracy has gone real that we have to make people’s choices, that the American people are not smart enough to choose their representatives. ‘ I think the lack of confidence of the voters is toxic, and it’s not true,” he said.

Gerenkamp Perez, who identifies as Latina himself, was also asked about the recent accusations against Garcia because he is Latino and progressive.

“Identity politics does not justify the skipping of elections,” he said. “There is nothing that justifies that. If you say that it is wrong, you must say that it is wrong consistently. It cannot be said that respect for the voters will not be considered, even if we are working ethically.”

When he was asked about his first call to throw Garcia from the floor of the house last week, said the spokesperson of García following all his election guidelines when he made his grandson, he has his deep responsibility and his responsibility to his grandchildren wakes up to the death of his daughter. “

“At a time like this, he hopes his colleagues, especially those who talk about family matters, can show the same compassion and respect that any family would want when a Health Crisis“said the spokesperson of this organization.

His team did not immediately respond to a follow-up request for comment on gluesekamp Perez’s Mazy.
