Both sides say democracy is at stake with the prop. 50, for different reasons

If the ads are any indication, the 50 interview offers California agents a stark choice: “Stick to Trump” or “abandon the Constitution” in a democratic takeover.
And like so many things in 2025, Trump seems like a galvanizing problem.
Even if California Cacifornia is used, the elevation 50 was notable for its sharp attack to cut through the dense, esoteric problem of regeneration. It comes down to the basic truth: This is a democratic measure to regain the states of CALIFORNIA to help their party gain control of the Republicans in 2026 and the Republicans’s efforts to get Republicans in other states.
So far, the message that is fighting – Trump is preached by the proposal of 50 lawyers, led by Gov. Gavin Newloom and other top Democrats, appear to be very successful.
Supporters of the proposal outspoken their opponents and Proposition 50, one of the most expensive appropriations campaigns in the state’s history, led to the election.
“Whenever you can take a problem and take it personally, you have an advantage. In this case, 50 sponsors can do everything about stopping Donald Trump,” said the former legislative leader and Chairman of Gom Grous.
Adding to the drama is the role of two political and cultural symbols that emerged as leaders of each side: The former President OBAMA agreed, both Cov.
Schwarzenegger and the two leading opposition committees ‘of 50 are focused on the moral and ethical suffering of maintaining an independent depericting commission. Californians in 2010 voted to create a panel to draw the boundaries of the state of the state after all the census figures to provide good representations to all the residents of the state.
That’s not a political thing easily explained in a 30-year-old television ad, or an Instagram post.
Revitalization is a “complex” issue, Bruste said, but he noted that “No side has the responsibility to try to explain what it really is and the WES side [that] This is about stopping Trump – the easiest way. “
Partisans on both sides of the aisle agreed.
“The YES side has also received anti-trump messages and is close to a direct appeal to withdraw from leadership,” said Jamie Fentire, a political analyst who has worked on several GOP Ronmessional campaigns in California. “Partial awareness and high recognition behind the scale means it’s unlikely to be brought under the weight of negative advertising like other programs tend to do.”
Obama, in ads released during the World Series and NFL games, warned that bavoto nov. 4 as he urged that he oppose this recommendation which shows that the voting rate was against ensuring that the elected officials.
“The Constitution does not begin with ‘we, the politicians.’ It starts with ‘we, the people,’ “Schwarzezeneg students told USC students in mid-September – a speech built on the topic of 50 Ad. “Democracy – we have to protect it, and we have to go and fight for it.”
The Democratic-led Democratic legislature voted in August to put a proposal to renew their ranks in Congress in the November Voters. The measure, prompted by Newsloom, was an attempt to counter Trump’s efforts to increase the number of GOP members in the House from Texas and other GOP-Led states.
The GOP holds a slim edge in the House, and next year’s election will determine which party controls the body during its last two years in office — and whether it can continue its investigation or focus on possible impeachment and impeachment.
Noticeably absent from California’s proposal to fight is the person who called it – Trump.
The proposal’s opponents’ decision not to nominate Trump is indefensible given the deep unpopularity of the President among Californians. More than two-thirds of state voters disapproved of his handling of the Office of the President in late October, according to a public policy poll.
However, Trump urged California voters not to follow mail-in ballots or vote early, he argued falsely in a social media post.
Some California GOP leaders fear that Trump’s announcement could suppress the Republican vote.
In recent days, the California Republican Party sent emails to registered Republicans urging them not to vote. “Your neighbors are watching,” says the addressee, with a picture of a woman looking through binoculars. “Don’t let your neighbors down. They will find out!”
Tuesday’s election will cost taxpayers nearly $300 million. And it is not clear whether the result will make a difference in the management of the house because of the many recovery efforts in other countries.
But some Democrats are torn by the amount of money being spent on the effort that may not change the makeup of Congress.
Johanna Moska, who worked in the Obama Administration, described Proposition 50 as “frustrating.”
“I just wish we were spending money to fix the State’s problems, if we think about how much the State can cost people,” he said. “Gavin figured out what works for Gavin. And that’s against Trump.”
New Newlom’s efforts against Trump are considered a conflict of the base if he runs for President in 2028, he accepted the reflection.
The promotion of 50 was also a platform for other politicians who may be looking to run for money in 2026 for the California Governor, Sen. Alex Pardilla and billionaires Rick Caruso and Tom Steyer.
The field is in flux, without a clear front runner.
Padilla was thrown to the ground in Los Angeles as he tried to question Homeland Security Secretary Nristi Noem about the Trump Administration’s 2020 campaign ads. Caruso, who was unsuccessful against Karen Bass in the 2022 Los Angeles Mayali Race and is reported to be looking at another political campaign, recently sent emails supporting 50 proposals.
Steyer made $12 million to fund proposals 50 Steyer’s second ad focuses entirely on him, increasing speculation about the existence of a gubernatorial reat next year.
Advertisements against the proposal have been frustrated several times before the end of television altogether in recent days.
“The YES side had the advantage of throwing the question to voters as a reference to Trump,” said Rob Stutzman, a GOP stratestist who worked for Schwarzezerger but was not involved with any of the 50 campaign proposals. “Asking people to participate in the election to save the government commission – it’s not a rallying call.”
