– For todayNow you can listen to FOX news headlines!

The New York Giants special teams had a rough night in Foxborough, as Kicker Younghooe Koo had the first attempt at a field goal in the New England streak.

After tight end Theo Johnson failed to make a quick catch, the Giants wanted to make it a seven-point game with a 47-Yard Field Goal by Koo, who has eliminated New York in the past three games.

But when Koo went in for his kick, for some reason, for some reason, he put his foot on the Turf and just limped up without making contact with the ball.

It appeared that Koo’s left foot was planted too close to the ball, which might have thrown him. But he doesn’t end up following the kick, and holder and punter Jamie Gillan was flagged for a technical foul on the sack on the stat sheet.

The play was a big change of pace as the Giants defense desperately needed to come up with a touchdown drive in what was a 17-0 game to start.

The reason for the big deficit was another special teams blunder for the Giants, but an impressive Patriots rep as Marcus Jones ran back a punt from Gillan 94 yards for the game’s first touchdown.

And things only got worse for New York after the Patriots made it 24-7 thanks to a Kyle Williams interception, driven by tight end Gunner Olszewski who hit Christian Elliss on a punt return.

He cleaned the ball after the contact was brought-to-the-helmet, and the spots matured. They would end up adding three more points to the board.

New York came into this first primetime game with a season directly opposite the Patriots, who had won their last nine games. The Giants have lost six straight games, and their loss to the Detroit Lions in overtime last week officially eliminated them from playoff contention.

There was some hope, however, as rookie quarterback Daxson Dart was released in regulation. But the special teams mishaps chipped away at any momentum the Giants had, as they entered the locker room down 30-7 in Foxborough.
